About Steamatic of Western Wisconsin

Our Story

Steamatic of Western Wisconsin is the longest standing restoration company in the Chippewa Valley recently celebrating our 30th year in business.

Al and Bonnie Fisher opened the franchise in 1992 offering mainly carpet cleaning. Dave and Michele Jopke bought Steamatic from the Fishers in 1997 and expanded their services to include air duct cleaning, water and fire mitigation, and mold remediation.

In 2004, Josh met Dave Jopke while bidding on the restoration of an old home that had a fire. They developed a relationship, and Backstrom Construction began doing all restoration and rebuild work for Steamatic of Western Wisconsin. In early 2007, Dave and Michele Jopke decided to retire and offered the sale of Steamatic to Josh and Denni. By August of 2007, Josh and Denni were the proud owners of Steamatic of Western Wisconsin and its twelve employees.

Since that time, Denni has worked for the company wearing several hats while continuing her job as a nurse and selling real estate. Josh put down his tool belt to run the company and continues to be involved each day.

The company has grown from offering carpet cleaning services in 1992 to a full services restoration company offering carpet and tile cleaning, air duct cleaning, soft goods restoration, water mitigation, mold remediation, fire and soot cleaning and complete rebuilds. Josh and Denni are proud of the services their team provides for the community, proud of the growth providing jobs in the Chippewa Valley but most proud of the customer service that the Steamatic family provide!
